College friend (and “Never You Mind” co-conspirator) Laurie recently married resident cool-guy Todd.

In traditional Daniel fashion, I didn’t bother to get them their gifts until after their wedding. But in my defense, I did order them before the ceremony.  Giving it to them now gave me an excuse to visit them both.

Either way, both Todd and Laurie are big fans of World of Warcraft, and this led for an opportunity for a gift so great and impractical that no sane person would purchase it for themselves.

So Meet Korg Highmountain:

Ah, he looks very stately sitting on our old table from our college apartment (complete with bamboo place mats)…

Here, he wields something that doubles as a gun and an ax.  Along with bunny ears that can only boost his speed or something.

They also received a Wind-Rider Cub doll.  This character can appear both as a bonus in their video game and in real life.  The process must be through some pagan voodoo ceremony or possibly a redeemable code.

The last gift was some exclusive Baneslinger art that is so exclusive you won’t be seeing it (unless you go and visit them yourself).

Congratulations to you both!

Nerdy gifts are the best gifts! That beats the hell out of bamboo utensils. :P

It would have been highly amusing to see those sitting on the gift pile. ^_^

Did you get them bamboo utensils to go with the place mats? That’s pretty good.

I had to call ahead just to get permission to give them something super impractical.
