One should reference things before one reformulates DNA to create a monster from old Greek legends. However, in his defense, he was probably too far into the project before he realized his mistake.
Looking at the Chimera in the last panel, I’m reminded a bit of Pikmin the video game. Originally, they were going to have an enemy that, upon swallowing your troops, would have their limbs dangling out of it’s gaping jaws. Unfortunately, they took it out for the final game for it being a little too terrifying.
I, on the other hand, willfully spread terror like jam on an English muffin.
